Hello,

Me and my family are planning to immigrate to Canada.
The only way I thought, to become a PR, was via the skilled worker application.
The only disadvantage is the waiting time, 3-5 years.
What if I could immigrate through the international company I work for ?
They have an office in the province of Ontario.
I haven't asked this in my company because I wanna be sure what is possible.
(Is there a way to become a PR via the company?)

Thx

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Skilled worker has just changed and applications are now supposed to take only 6-12 months but tied to certain occupations.

If you want to go through your employer, if they can get you a temporary work permit, you can apply for permanent residency under Canadian Experience class after 2 years in Canada.

If I have a temporary work permit, my family is not allow to work in Canada?

So maybe it is better to apply for a PR from my home country in Europe and once I have the PR I ask
my company to relocate to Canada?
Or I can mention in my skilled worker application form that I have a job offer in Canada (through my current company)? I think this one will go faster to get a PR than applying without a job offer?

Cheers

If you are a skilled temporary worker, your spouse can get a work permit in Canada.

Another option would be if your company, the Canada branch, can send you an arranged employment opinion or AEO, they have to apply for this to Service Canada. You can used this AEO with your skilled worker application and then you will not need to be on the list of 38 occupations.
