thanks for the info... how is it likely that credential assessment will be a reqt for july 2012? do we need to have our credentials as early as now? pls advised . thanks :)

If u keep ur credentials evaluated you will be losing nothing.
If the rules change and it is mandatory seeing the current scenario you will benefit in putting thru ur application at the first go.

"The pre-arrival assessment does not guarantee applicants will find work in Canada commensurate with their skills, nor does it guarantee they will become licensed in their field.

That lies with the professional regulatory bodies in the jurisdiction in which the individual intends to settle, and that, Kenney suggested, was another problem.

In many ways, credential recognition is a provincial responsibility, outside of Citizenship and Immigration's jurisdiction, he said. Kenney also cited the case of an Iranian couple - a radiologist and orthopedic surgeon - who had struggled to get their skills recognized and had resolved to return to Iran."- Honourable Federal Immigration Minister.

This mean nothing but extra money, time and effort for All new Immigrants.
his is trying to copy New Zealand assessment point system when you spent $500 extra in fees, and up to six month of time just to get back your assessed documents. In order to score point for education that will allow you to submit an application.

After all its self explanatory: "The pre-arrival assessment does not guarantee applicants will find work in Canada commensurate with their skills, nor does it guarantee they will become licensed in their field.”
