Hi everyone,

My mother in law's visa was approved and was supposed to leave 03-01-2019. However, my sister in law and her misunderstood the date format thinking it meant March 1st 2019! Mind you, they waited since 2010 toget approved!

When she went to the airport on February 26th, they ofcourse denied her entry, and told her she had to go to immigration to ask for extension as her visa was expired.

My sister in law sent an email to immigration to request for an extension. At first, they said they would not give her a chance. But when she insisted, they responded and requested for another medical exam, but not police clearance.

My mother in law resubmitted all her documents in person last week, including photocopy of passport, medical results etc.
She was told they would call her for the next step.

What do you think of this???

Do they really contact you by phone for instructions?

If they gave her another chance to get approved again, wouldn't they ask for her actual passport, not just photocopy?

Thoughts?
