Okay wifey can't remember when she went traveling like what months and years from things over 5 years ago.

Are they going to check on those or just put in the year roughly and the location only with the time frame?

I also live in a tiny country so every time I need to travel to Ireland I have to go to Germany to take a flight directly there because here we don't have direct flights. So do I still put Germany for 1 day length and put it in as travel?

Thank you.

You can put estimated dates, but include a letter explaining that you don't remember the exact dates and have no way to find them out.

I would mention Germany.
Who is sponsoring whom in your case? The sponsor does not have to list his or her travels.

If she travelled out of the country, did she have some visa stamps on her passport that show the exact time when she left and entered the country?

I guess as long as you leave the country, that counts as travelling.

2 different answers! :(

I am the sponsoree, it asks on the form and also asks spouse travel. She is the sponsor.

She is also a EU so no way of a stamp in her visa to enter Europe, we got pictures in Europe and one at the train station in Paris it shows shes in Paris and that is were the Embassy is! :) lol. So there is the proof RIGHT there! lol.

And she does not remember where she traveled during the dates like 5 years ago and lives on a boarder city to the US and goes to the US for shopping at least once a month also! So hard to tell.

Is your wife a Canadian citizen or PR?

Usually on the forms when they ask about family members, they mean 'if applicable'. In other words, some of the forms are the same for people who are immigrating in other classes, so both the husband and wife may be immigrating. If that is the case, they want the forms from both. If one is already a Canadian citizen or PR, and is sponsoring the other, then those forms are not applicable. In which case, your wife does not need to fill out the 'travel' form.

Still, I am not 100% sure. Do any of the more senior members know? Or could your wife phone the CIC hotline and ask?

If there is really no way for her to find out the dates she travelled, and she does have to fill out that form, the best thing to do is give estimated dates and a letter of explanation.

She can try to look up her credit card statements to determine her visits to USA (goes shopping? payment receipts), trips to EU and within EU (travel ticket payments, other expenses etc.). Write a letter explaining why exact dates are not available (no stamps in passport etc).

***As posted by canadianwoman, I also think, if your wife is already a PR and Canadian citizen she does not need to submit the travel form

Looked up again - Visa office specific Information Guide has a requirement to submit form IMM5562E for all sponsored persons including travel details of spouses. There is no mention to skip, if spouse is a PR or Citizen...

Yes she is a Canadian Citizen.

I'll have her call the hotline or I'll call myself. They should really, explain things on these forms for people.
