Hello everyone, I been reading and searching everywhere but I am still confused. I would really appreciate it if someone can help me out.

For the option where I have two select at least two of the following four options and provide the documents requested for each.

I chose " Important documents for you and your spouse showing that you are recognized as each other's spouse (such as employment or insurance benefits)."

I am currently working a part-time job at retail. So I do not get benefits whatsoever since I'm a part timer. However, I just added my husband in the dependent section on my payroll account. So I am confused as to what kind of document should I provide? I been looking through my workday website but however I cannot seem to find any kind of official document to print? Is it okay to take a screenshot of the page where it shows the details and submit that? Also, what other documents can I submit besides the insurance benefits?

Thanks everyone!

Show that you changed your marital status with the CRA
Life insurance showing he is beneficiary
Purchased health insurance showing marital status
And print off the doc from your payroll
Where can I find the doc from payroll?

I cant find any document on workday to print to show that I added him as my dependent.

Thank you so much

I was in almost the same boat as you, I work part time in retail so I’ve never had the opportunity to add my husband as a beneficiary. I decided to submit auto insurance (I added him to my insurance as a secondary driver once he got his license) and proof of shared financials (I sent receipts from all of our PayPal transactions). These were the two easiest options I found, hope this helps!

Thank you so much for your reply,
I don’t have auto insurance or any kind of insurance at the moment and I’m not planning to sign up for any insurances right now. I am going to change the CRA martial status’s and provide that as a proof but do you know any other documents I can provide??

Thank you again

Do you have any shared financials? Trips taken together or any money transfers?

Yes I do but I will be using those for the second option to show financial support between me and my husband since we need to select two options out of the four.

I am only stuck on “important documents for you and your spouse showing that you are recognized as each other’s spouse” option

Does anyone know if Costco memebership work?

I have heard of people including Costco memberships, gym memberships, any membership really where you’d declare your address for the last option, where it asks for any other documents that shows the same address. I’m sorry I can’t remember the exact wording of the question but I know it is the last option of that section. If you have absolutely nothing else you can submit I would recommend writing a letter like they ask explaining why

I’m sorry but I think you’re talking about the old imm5533e form. The updated one asks
Select at least two of the following four options and provide the documents requested for each.

Important documents for you and your spouse showing that you are recognized as each other’s spouse (such as employment or insurance benefits).

Documentary evidence of finiancial support between you and your sponsor, and/or shared expenses.

Other proof that your relationship is recognized by your friends and/or family (e.g. Letters from friends/family, social media information showing a public relationship, etc).

Proof of past cohabitation, if you’re not currently living together but did at one point in the past.

So my husband and I selected the first two options as the third option is hard for us since I do not have Facebook/Instagram and his family members are living abroad so it is going to be time consuming.

So for the supported documents, does anyone else know any other documents than the ones already been mentioned ?

Thanks everyone !

Im sorry I must be getting the different checklists confused. Going over everything so many times I can’t rememver anymore which forms ask for what! Sorry I can’t be of more help. Do you have any family members at all that can write a supporting letter for you? That seemed to be the easiest for us. Both of our mothers as well as his friend and my cousin wrote letters for us.
