Hi,
I'm moving to Canada from Europe next week as I have a two-year permit, unfortunately, my common-law partner won't be able to come with me. However, as soon as I get a high skilled job and a few payslips, she would like to apply for an open work permit. We have all the necessary proofs as well as a letter signed by a notary. Do we need this IMM5409 signed as well? It says that it can only be signed by someone in Canada but we don't live there? Is this piece of paper mandatory?
Thanks
