IMM0008 parents sponsorship -- question 4

Im sponsoring my parents for PR to canada. On form imm0008 under question4: Immigration Office requested for processing the application-- do we put their home country?
or we can leave it blank since i will be sending the application from within canada?

There is no inland process for parent /grandparent applications. You need to specify the visa office of your parents' home country.

Yes, thanks Scylla. My parents are in canada now but leaving soon, so we filled out application, but will be sending in January. I hope that is allowed or the forms wont changed much.

Sometime in December before the program re-opens again, CIC will update some of the parents sponsorship forms on the website. So you need to check which ones are updated, before submitting the application in January.

Some forms will probably stay the same as they are now, but for any that are updated you will need to use the updated forms and get new signatures on them if it's required. If you submit an app with outdated forms, the whole thing could be returned as incomplete and you would miss the 5000 quota for 2015. Nobody can say right now which forms will be updated.

thanks for the heads up, i will make sure to check the forms in December to have the most recent info.
DO you know if the application is being sent to Canadian processing office? Im living in Alberta
