My fiancé is from Northern Ireland, has been in Quebec, Canada since January of 2018 on an open work permit which expires in January 2020. We want to apply to extend his permit but don't know what to choose out of these options:
"I am applying for one or more of the following:
1- A work permit with the same employer
2- Restoration of your status as a worker
3- An initial work permit or a work permit with a new employer
4- Temporary Resident Permit"
He is currently self-employed and we are starting a business together. We are also common-law since July 2019.
He will live here permanently so not sure if we should extend work permit AND apply for permanent residency as well? Or wait to apply for PR?
