IMM 5710 - Extend my stay or Remain in Canada as a worker

Hi there,

I entered Canada with an IEC (International Experience Canada) Visa. This visa allows me to work for one year in Canada (my visa will expire in September 2021) and at this moment I am applying to a sponsor spouse visa and I have a question about my work visa renewal, more specifically in question 3 of the IMM 5710 form. There are 4 options and I do not know which of all applies in my case. Someone who can help me clear this question please.

Question:

3. I am applying for one or more of the following:

• Apply for a work permit with the same employer.
• Restore my status as a worker
• Apply for a work permit for the first time or with a new employer.
• Get a new temporary resident permit (for inadmissible applicants only).

I would think that I should choose the last option (Get a new temporary resident permit), but the note that says: For inadmissible applicants only confuses me. Also Restore my status as a worker applies but the IEC program has conditions.

Any help or suggestions I appreciate.
