I am in process of applying BOWP as I have received my AOR under CEC program.
I have a quick question on IMM 5710 related to Page 1 field 3- (I am applying for one or more of the following )
Options given are
1) work permit with same employer,
2) An initial work permit or work permit with new employer,
3) restoration of your status as a worker
4) Temporary Resident Permit
As I am going to write "Not Applicable - Open Work Permit" in employer detail section
I am confused between option 2 and 4 as to which one should I be selecting.
Please help.

Thanks mnemonic. I will go with option 2

Ganapathi , I dont think u have to mention name of Employer in application form as open workpermit is not specific to any employer.
Refer below link.

^That is correct, since choosing "1" will require you to provide the LMO, and defeats the purpose of applying for an open permit.

Choosing option "1" for an open permit isn't a big deal (I did this and got my BOWP anyway) but I agree with the thinking that you should choose option "2".

And yes the employment details don't have to be filled in.
