Hi,

In IMM 5540, it's asking for monthly income/salary for the employers I worked for last 5 years. However, I do not have my pay stubs from my past employers, all I have is the Offer of Employment letter from each employer. And, current employer's monthly net income, as I can see this from my bank statements. I can only see bank statements only for 2015 and 2016, so I wouldn't have information for last 5 years.

1) Does the form want monthly gross or net income? Can I divide total yearly gross salary which was mentioned in the Offer letters, and divide it by 12?

2) If monthly net income is required, how would I come up with this because dividing the yearly gross salary will give me monthly gross, without CPP, EI and other reductions, in other words it wouldn't give me net income.

Can somebody please advise what to do here?

Thank you.

Thank you for your response.

When you say, "we did monthly", is that gross or net monthly income? Thank you :)

all it says on the form is: Monthly salary/income

it doesnt state net or gross so i dont think its a problem. seeing how tax is variable and changes, theres no way to figure any figures out acurately. just find out your hourly rate, or put your monthly salary.

theyre not interested in how much money you make nor do they ask you to prove it.
