Hi everyone,
I just downloaded the new IMM 5533 checklist and found IRCC requested to have info about the Previous Examination on the first page in their revised form, and my wife and I don't know what to choose. The question is:
Information about Previous Examination (to be completed by the sponsor):
The person I am sponsoring was declared as my spouse or partner and was already examined as a non-accompanying dependent when I applied for a permanent resident visa, and did not receive an immigrant visa. (Note: If you have never applied for a permanent resident visa, answer no. )
The situation is that I live outside of Canada and used to be a PR in Canada but gave it up a few years ago as I could not fulfill my residency obligation, but my wife and all my children are Canadian Citizens now and she wants to sponsor me to Canada. At that time I was the applicant and my wife and children were the accompanying family member. So, does that mean my wife, the sponsor, had never applied for a permanent resident visa and she should check on the No box? Or,...?
Much appreciated should anyone give me some advice.
