My name is Chase and I'd like to ask if anyone is familiar with IMM 5409 (Statutory Declaration of Common Law Partnership).
Recently we have received our ITA from CIC and one of the requirements they need is the IMM 5409 form. At the bottom of the form there is a space for 1. Notary Public 2. Commissioner of Oaths 3. Commissioner of Taking Affidavits.
We currently live in China and here lies the problem.
1. The Canadian Embassy here does not notarize for Non-Canadians Citizen.
2. The Notary here in China does not notarize forms that are not in Chinese.
What alternatives can we do to get this document filled out properly, compliant with CIC requirements?
