It is great to have this resource of pooled experience, thanks everyone!

I am filling out the Additional Family Information, IMM 5406...

My sister is married to a Canadian who cannot sponsor her as enough time has not passed since he sponsored his previous spouse from another country. She (my sister) resides in Canada with their children without status while they await the time to pass...

On this form they ask for addresses of siblings... am I endangering her situation to put her address in Canada?

Thanks for any input!

I dont know much about it. But you must declare that your sister lives in canada, where it says if you have any family member living in Canada,if not they may refuse you stating that you gave them false declaration..They may even ban you from canada for 2 or 5years. I remember someone in this forum didnt declare that she had 2aunty living in canada but 1, she was refused because of it. Or you might contact a lawyer and ask him in this case what should you do.thats all i can say and good luck

Good point. That is quite a gamble. From my perspective I have no choice but for full disclosure, that much is clear!

Thanks for the advice, and if I do contact a lawyer I will post his/her response.
