Hello,
My father in law is filling out form IMM 5406 and we had a question on how many separate forms we need for his family to submit online.
His family:
Himself (Applicant)
Wife
Daughter 1 (over 18)
Daughter 2 (over 18 but is Canadian PR) [dont need to fill in form for her]
Daughter 3 (over 18)
Son 1 (over 18)
The online instructions state:
You (the principal applicant) must fill out this form for yourself and on behalf of any of your family members 18 years of age or older who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
Does this mean we need to fill in the form 5 times?
Once for him as the principal applicant, then 4 more times selecting "On behalf of any of your family members 18 years of age or older" for Wife, Daughter 1, Daughter 3, and Son 1?
The form looks funny because each time we fill for the other family members, the first heading always says "Relationship Applicant" , but we are guessing this is read in context of him filling in on behalf of the other members, so we should be putting their names there, not his.
Any clarity on this matter is appreciated.
