IMM 0008E Nickname question

Hi,

I will be applying for my spouse's visa. In the IMM 0008E form, the Q2 on Personal Details section says: Have you used any other name (Nickname, maiden name, alias etc.) Now there are two fields after that: Family name(s) and Given name(s).

Suppose, my spouse's full name is aaaa bbbb cccc. However, her family and friends also call her "mmmm". Now, in which field should I put this name? family ? or given name?
If I do not put anything on the family name, the form won't validate. however, this is not her "maiden"/"previous family name" that changed after marriage. In other words, her name is aaaa bbbb cccc (mmmm).

So, should I put mmmm in the family name field so that the form validates? pls answer

Family name is her surname and her given name is her first name .. other name would be maiden name .Nick name i wouldn't bother with unless she uses it on documents.
