Status: Married
Sponsor: Canadian Citizen
Principal Applicant: from Philippines
Dependants: 0

Q. IMM 0008E
Should my wife fill up the form under the dependant section/page? because i says that, you must include your spouse or common-law partner if applicable, and all of your dependant children, and those of your spouse or common-law partner, who are not already permanent residents or citizens of Canada.

Q. Document Checklist-Sponsor IMM 5491
Some of the checklist does not apply to me. what should i do? just write NA on the side?
Specially in #15, sorry i cant post link. IMM 5491
and is that gonna be the same as number 13? because it says if the spouse is a co-signer and does have Canadian document. but my wife still not PR and lives in the Philippines.

thanks and i need help.

1. She needs to fill up IMM0008 (not you, unless you're doing it for her and then she will sign it), along with the other applicant forms.

2. Yes, N/A is fine.

even though we dont have dependants?
IMM0008E is the primary form in her application, even though it is a generic form used for other types of immigration to Canada.

Are you asking about form IMM0008DEP? THAT is the form for dependents, not IMM0008E.

If there are no dependents, she doesn't need IMM0008DEP, and should write N/A for that form on the Document Checklist.

No. You can completely remove the Dependents section from IMM0008.

hi guys, with regards to question no. 3...I have 2 non accompanying dependents, declare them on the form...do I write 3 or just 1? The consultant said that I only need to write 1 coz I am only paying for one application for now and they would return my application...I don't really put too much trust on the consultant so maybe those who have filled up the form can enlighten me.... in this instruction guide that I researched this is what I found....

Question 3
Indicate the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself and any family members, regardless of whether they intend to accompany you to Canada or not.

thanks

As the instructions clearly state, you must count them even if they are non-accompanying. The answer is 3.
