Hello,

In the IMM 0008 Generic Application form right under Personal Details, #3 is asking about UCI....What is this and where can I find this UCI number or a combination of numbers and/or letters?

Another tricky question is #9 where this part is asking about citizenship(s), as well as status...In my case, I graduated from a Canadian University and am currently working under the PGWP so should I still put a foreign national or worker? There is a drop down menu and there is all kind of categories.

Thanks so much for your suggestion!

Where can I find my client ID/UCI?
This eight digit number appears on all documents you get from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). It looks like this: 0000-0000.

If you applied to CIC before
Look for this number on:

letters you received from CIC,
your immigration document such as a PR card, study or work permit.
If you do not have any of these documents but want to fill out an application form:

you can leave the field for UCI (Client ID) blank.

Hello, u mentioned that u work on pgwp, Look on top right corner.
Under "Application/Demande", u will see UCI/IUC:00000000 (there are no dashes, dots or anything).

For question 9, i hold PGWP as well. Right now I hold Ukrainian passport. I am citizen of Ukraine. For you put what passport u are holding. If u have two citizenships, u have space to put both.

Good luck!

If u like my answer, mark me as "good"

thank you Anton for your answer, but in question #9 next to citizenship(s) column there is another part asking about your status? What would you put there let's say you have a foreign passport and have a PGWP? There is a drop down menu and there are options, such as foreign national, worker, student, and so on...Is it either a foreign national or worker? I am confused...thanks.

Hey, I forgot to mention, just got the idea...Look at the VISA in the passport, in the Category u will see category "Student", "Worker", etc. After I updated my visa with my pgwp, my category is worker.

By the way do u apply under SINP?

Hey experts, do I need to do pcc from canada as well ?
I know it's not mandatory, but does it help in avoiding future delays and faster application processing as they will have all the documents they need ?

Hello,

it should be a part of your initial document package.

Check number 15 in IMM5690E (document checklist) -http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5690E.pdf

Hope this helps

thanks Anton. My visa is expired so I cannot travel outside of the country for now:), but I still can remain in Canada without receiving a new visa unless if i decided to visit my family back home. I should apply for a new visa tho. When I had my student visa, I guess it was a student visa, and said Student.

I also got another question: What should I do if my work experience in Canada is less than a year, but still would like to apply. The question is asking me Total years of employment under which NOC code I am applying for... I wanted to put less than a year in my application, but damn application is not allowing me to put and asking me exact years. :(

I applied under SINP student subcategory. yes it takes 15months but it is a safer route. EE is faster but first it is like lotery when they need to draw u based on points
