RE FORM IMM 0008 DEP

If children are estranged adults, NOT DEPENDENTS and will never be coming to Canada with my husband...EVER...does this form have to be filled out? Should the form be printed off and non-applicable be stated on the form or separate piece of paper.

We have been told to get a notarized document stating they will never be coming.

I don't understand why a non-dependent adult child would need a form filling out (IMM8000 DEP).

Can somebody please clarify this point? We've received four different answers giving advice.

You've been told some VERY wrong information. Children 19 and over are not dependents and do not need to be included in the app. From your previous posts, your kids are well over 19 years old, so there is absolutely NO NEED for a notarized document stating that they aren't coming.

You are not required to submit IMM0008DEP; it is only required when a person has more than 5 dependents. Just put N/A on the checklist.

Thank you so much. I think we are overthinking each and every question. At least it is good to know that the children don't have to be mentioned and nothing else has to be done about them.

The children need to be mentioned in the Additional Family Information form, but that's it.
