I'm quite worried

My passport was requested for by CIC on June 25th. I submitted the same to VFS Kolkata and it was received by the Canadian High Commission at Delhi on 25th. night. It's been almost 8 days now and I haven't head back anything from them. More importantly, my status on CIC shows that it was last updated on May 26th. That was the day when I applied.
I'm worried about my passport now. Any suggestions as to how I can find out he status will be appreciated. Please help me.
I dnt know if they wanted my passport for an acceptance or they would refuse the visa after having the original passport.

first of all, you should be happy that they requested ur Passport.
they will not ask PP in case they want to reject u..so chill and wait few more days

Have patience bro they would have stamped your visa by now! Wait till it arrives!!
