I'm not sure I have enough points

I may not get enough points (67) because my IELTS results are not very good. I know English pretty well, working as Registered Nurse in the US and having plenty of experience. Also, I'm a naturalized US citizen.
However, i never took an English test and performed poorly, I may get 8 to 10 points in total.
Question: if I fall short on points, but I'm stable economically, do you think I have a chance? I can prove $100,000 in banks, and also I have three rental houses in the US. My reasons are not economic.

Thanks,
Robert

Hi Robert,

It has nothing to do with your economical situation and thats absolutely fine that you can show 100,000 CDN$ in bank.

Could you please let us know about your age, educational qualification, experience, spouse education (if applicable) etc. ?

If I have this information, I might help you with your dilemma about points.

you have to assume the answer is no.. the operational guide does not allow this but gives a discretionary power to the IO. if you are short by 1 or 2 points, he may or may not consider.

you can try for business class.. but, am not sure about the IELTS requirement in that.

Well, I think it has to do with economics and I'll quote the guide:
"However, you may apply if you believe there are other factors that would help you to become economically established in Canada that were not reflected in your points assessment. Send a detailed letter with your application explaining these factors. Include any documents that support your claim."
In other words, the reason for the points is to become "economically established"...isn't it?

i am worried about your lack of belief
it was stated on their website that if u think u qualify without IELTS for
language proficiency, u should write to them as per that
i really don't see why u wrote a test, if u have been in the US for that long
in a highly skilled profession with proof of progress at work.
i don't think ur colleague in Canada would need a translator to converse with you
and neither do i think you need english tests to work in Canada as a nurse
i think also that tests are just an approximate test of ur abilities, all things can't always be
equal with all candidates on test day
