they ask for INTENDED OCCUPATION. We are doing common law to Canada and I do plan to look for work but I can't know what job I will get. It will just be a general type job.. maybe call center or cleaning, hotel maid, restaurant, What can I enter here?

Just pick one. Something that seems plausible given your background. CIC will not expect you to get that type of job for sure. You can also answer generally, such as 'service job' or 'working in a hotel'.

that makes sense! thank you.. another thing, can you VALIDATE and print the form early, like a few months before submitting? It prints BAR CODES and I wonder, do they expire?

The validation and bar codes don't expire as long as you don't change anything in the form. If you make any changes, you'll have to validate again.

Forms change, so if you complete them early, you need to make sure that you check if there is a new version right before you submit the app.
