if you are submitting your file to VFS - read this

Hey Friends

I have seen once and come to know aswell that When we submit our file to the VFS especially with the SOP and non-official docs and they verify/check the documents before accepting our application SOMETIMES (or maybe always) they tend to ignore our SPP or handwritten explanations unless we tell them that it is important and must be on top of the other documents. (when we dont tell them specifically either they dont submit papers like SOP or mostly put them underneath all the other documents)

I know most of us's application are already in the embassy and this post is of not much use but still if anyone of us is going to apply in upcoming days then make sure you keep this in mind while submitting.

P.S- As some of us hire agents/representatives and they submit files on student's behalf so am assuming they (agents) are already aware of this and have submitted/or making sure that SOP are being submitted.


**** I could have written this before but I was not sure/fully aware but today rather half an hour before heard the same thing from one of my friend also so thought of sharing it with you guys***
 
Hi lovepreet,

Thanks for the information u provided. I am about to submit my file this week. I have applied for 1yr PG diploma program and my offer letter states my whole program cost is 10.5 lacs INR. I have already paid my 1st term fee and have taken 8 lacs of loan from bank. Now how much liquid funds I need show. I hav already asked this question on this forum but still nt cleared. Some consultant are sayin that still I need to show 4 to 5 lacs. but SPP guidlines states one need to show nothing untill asked to show. will it be ok if I show less than 4 lacs???

Hey earthlover

1st of all- have you paid you fees out of the loan ? if yes,Good, then just to make your case more stronger you can show rupees 3 lac or above cash at bank/cash in account (3 or 3.5 lac would be sufficient).

Yes as per SPP you need to show loan only and we will do that only but you can always prepare a financial summery page stating you have 8 lacs loan + 3 lac in savings a/c (YOU DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT THE A/C STATEMENT BUT WHATEVER AMOUNT YOU MENTION IN THAT FINANCIAL SUMMERY PAGE MUST BE IN YOUR SAVINGS A/C) it will make your case stronger.

I have paid my fee personally coz my loan was nt sanctioned at that time and college fee payment deadline was approaching. Now bank will remburse the fee I have paid. Can I Show that as my finanacial support or other than that I can show upto 3.5 in the form of 1year old FD in my acct.

Hey Earthlover
if you have not paid the first semester fees out of your loan then i would recommend you

1) either to ''pay your second semester fees out of your loan'' and then show both the receipts to embassy..(it would me better for you rather than showing that you have not paid fees out of you loan)

2) OR since the fees was paid by the same bank from where you have taken loan and I am assuming that it does not show on the fees receipt whether it was paid out of loan or not so you can check with the bank if they can sort out and mention on the fees disbursement letter that it was paid out of your loan (hope you are getting my point here)

3) OR you can try you luck and apply just the way it is..

About FD - YES you can show FD as additional money if you have not taken any loan against it (education or any other loan)

Hey Charninder

As per SPP checklist it is strongly recommended that you submit your application by 01 AUGUST 2010 for September entry.

Download Student Partners Program Checklist and See for yourself buddy- http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/visaapplication.html

I would say Submit it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
