hello guys,

im a registered nurse with a two years experience in my field and have a relative living in canada. i did sent my visa application form last weekk of march 2010,using a representative. and now
just this month, my representative told me that the cio told her that i should take ielts. wich i took two years ago, but my representative forgot to tick the box indicating i had took the exam. i confronted her about this and she said that shes sorry and she scanned my ielts results and emailed it to cio,(well thats what she told me)

now my questions are these:

1. how long does cio response ?
2. how does cio inform you when there is something wrong about your application? through email? through text? through phonecall or they will send your forms back.
3. does my application forms needs to be submitted to other agencies before forwarding it to cio or we can just send it directly to cio? because my representative told me that she hired a immigration consultant to work for my application.
4.my representative did not make a copy of what she sent to "cio" is that okey?

Hi,

well, I'm not an expert, so the followings are on the base of my experience from here in forum.

in concern of IELTS, only 1yr valid.
Yeh, ur consultant is right, u hav to take the exam (but I think, its better to wait for the 1st AOR before u take it)

1. so far I know, CIO doesnt respond to ur email, I even dnt heard of their official email address. they might reply, if u ve sent a mail.
2. if there is smthg wrong with the application, they just return it then kindly say that u need to re apply them. there is no communication for the missing documents in the first stage.
3. No, there is actually no need of any agencies, they r only working for money. All u can do is on ur own. U dnt need any representatives or consultants.
4. U should have a copy of it. as u r a may/april applicant, u have to send the same/revised application with the supporting full doc., after u get ur 1st AOR. n u need to send them to ur visa office within 120 days after receiving the 1st AOR.

cheers

>>>> IELTS is acceptable when it is not more than one year old. At CIO level IELTS was not required for pre June 26 2010 cases, so you dont require IELTS for CIO. When you submit your application and documents to local visa office then you are required original IELTS TRF. No scanned copy etc. Forgetting to tick means nothing.

now my questions are these:

1. how long does cio response ?

>>>> 3-4 months. Check about the payment you had made- had CIO collected the DD or charged Credit Card. Dont tell that you gave money to representative to deposit application fee.

2. how does cio inform you when there is something wrong about your application? through email? through text? through phonecall or they will send your forms back.
>>> Something wrong with application, the application is returned. Nothing is charged. No phone call/ no e mail. A plain letter with your application.

3. does my application forms needs to be submitted to other agencies before forwarding it to cio or we can just send it directly to cio? because my representative told me that she hired a immigration consultant to work for my application.
>>> All applications under FSW are directly submitted to CIO, No other agency is involved. Now representative and immigration consultant ( CISC) members are tow different things. Rep works for free and CISC paid work. Anyone can represent provided no money exchanged.

4.my representative did not make a copy of what she sent to "cio" is that okey?
>>>> Then dont call her representative. Call gambler. How can you proceed further without copy of application.

I sincerely doubt that your application was submitted in March / April 2010. Now rules changed after 26 June 10 and IELTS TRF has become must at CIO and your gambler representative without disclosing your correct facts is telling you to do IELTS so that she can deposit your file now.

Hope now you understand what is going on - with your application, work of your representative, CIO working and IELTS requirement.
