iulb,

It is allowed to let off steam once in a while, the situation can be frustrating when all the issues are not in your immediate control. Just hang in there. You've come this far already. Soon and very soon...

Peace

It's good you let the feeling out of your chest :)

Here is a pearl of wisdom if you let me: You see my friend the more you think about your case, the more impatient you get while there is nothing you can do except wait! Go after regular routine and think you never applied for immigration. Then one day the mailman will arrive with a magic letter and surprise you.

Don't get burned down thinking which leads to frustration

In these times of recession, when every employer is ready to kick out all employees and here you sit trying to balance your bank account with settlement fund cash flow, i believe its difficult to keep patience.

Most of the applicants are FSW, working for someone trying to build up for settlement fund and then land in Canada. As such if your employer threatens to fire you, then you get pissed off.

Boys the timings are very crucial, Recession -> Immigration -> $Funds required -> get fired -> searching another job and employer. All this joggle up and may add more miseries. It is logically linked.

The moment i come to know through grapevine that my company may unable to pay salaries this month, there comes a big SIGH......!

Free,

Keep faith you are nearly there. Sorry for the long wait.

The end will justify the wait eventually.

Peace.

Dear Free,
You have another option to withdraw your case and resubmit with the new FSW process, there are more chances that your case will at least get registered and placed in process.

How about the money he has already invested ?
Guys, the issue is not that people cannot withdraw and reapply, the issue at stake includes amongst other factors, the time and money already spent. The thing is, if you reapply under the new rules and you sail through, you loose the fee(s) for the first application whether you withdraw or not.
Don't forget that people were sent out letters by the CHC of their respective countries(most people received the letter before the new list came out) to confirm their continued interest in immigrating to Canada and that from that point on, they will not be refunded the fee(s).

When I read posts of those who have applied years ago and are still waiting, I think of myself as impatient when I complain about waiting for almost 18 mos now, but when I think of why it takes this long I just see no sense in it. The immigration people made it as a routine that the process takes a long time, why would it take this long? No one knows especially that those who apply are people of good skills and want to build their future and Canada's future. I do know that there are background checks, security checks, medical and everything, but it should never take that long.

To think that 3,4, 5 years go by from your life waiting for a decision from the immigration, it is just hard to accept. You could have done countless things during these years, but you can not, why, because you are waiting for a decision that will decide your future and your whole life depends on it.

Patience is an easy word to say, but it is the hardest thing to do. It is OK to complain sometimes, humans are not made of iron, we are creatures of feelings and letting go sometimes can make a world of difference for our spirits.

I wish you the best of luck and may the long trip of waiting come to an end soon, a happy end.

I completely agree with maple,
I have so many decisions awaiting the outcome of Canada Immigration.
I have investment plans for Canada, if my application is not accepted then i'll risk to loose so many opportunities running around me during this time.
Choosing Canada is also my settlement plan, if its not accepted, i loose the opportunity to settle else where. I wish to travel, but again Canada Immigration. I wish to buy a house again Canada. Someone even siad they wish to refurbish their house but Canada. The child Education in western country college again Canada. My life insurance and pension plan to choose and start investing again Canada. There are other numerous decision such as employment, personal and professional requirement on the brink of a decision to be made by someone else that takes so long.

I therefore agree with Maple.
