If I spend part of the day in Canada, does it count as a full day when calculating residency?

Hi all,
for example if I'm Canada and traveling outside the country at 1 pm, does this count as a day when calculating the residency?
Same when I'm coming back to Canada, for example I came back at 11 pm, does it count?

Yes, it does as long as you swipe ur PR card at the entrance before midnight.
