Hi,
My PR application is in progress. I have applied for PR for me, my husband, and my son together. After our PR gets approved, is it possible for only me to go and collect the PR cards for all 3 of us? What happens if for some reason or visa issues my husband cannot accompany me?

No, they have to physically land in Canada for them to be able get their PR cards.

You're not officially a PR until you land successfully.

Thanks. But if I go alone, can I get it for myself and maybe apply for them again later, just in case he cannot accompany me?

You can delay landing of dependents but not sure if you can reapply for them if they don’t make landing before copr expires

Primary applicant has to land first in case everyone is not landing together and No you cannot apply for their PR cards, there is no application. all have to land to get their cards.

If they don't land before their COPRs expire, you will have to sponsor them. You are required to be in Canada throughout the sponsorship process; a few short visits are OK. The posted time is 1 year; the pandemic is delaying everything. If they don't aleady have TRVs, there is a good chance that they won't be approved, so be prepared to essentially be separated for a year or more.

Thanks everyone!
