If I get my Canada student visa approved 4 months in advance of my course

I am an Indian National thinking of applying for Canada student Visa. I am going to make my application from UK. I am planning to apply in March for the course starting in September.If my visa is granted in May, How early can I travel there? From when I will be allowed to work?

1. Do not worry, you won't get visa so early.
2. You can enter Canada the moment you will get visa.
3. You can work only when classes starts (not before).

Thanks for that . From UK processing time is 4 weeks so max it should arrive in May. Does visa start from the date it is granted? or they can approve is early with the later starting date?

Your visa starts from the date it is approved. If you want to arrive in Canada early, you can do that only 2 months before the staring of your session. You cannot enter into Canada earlier than that. If you are planning to enter into Canada 2 months early, then at the port of entry, you will have to show to the CBSA officer that you will be able to support yourself financially. If you are able to convince CBSA officer, then they will grant our study permit even 2 months before the starting of your session.

You can only start working when you start your classes. Any work done before you start school is considered as illegal working.

You cannot work, but if you are able to show enough funds to CBSA officer that u can accommodate yourself for two months, then yes. But to be on the safer side, I would recommend you to go o Canada 10-20 days before your classes commence as this much time is enough for u to find a room for yourself and a job

I my classes starting from april 30 2018 and i am arriving in canada on 27 feb 2018
Will border office ask me questions or they will simply give me SP??
