Generally, SDS takes 45 days after visa application. Add 1-2 weeks transit time for offline application (or passport stamping for online). See for yourself whether you have time or not based on your starting date.

If you are applying under general category, it'll take 7 weeks if your all documents are in order. If you are applying under SDS (first-year fees paid, GIC, IELTS 6.5 NLT 6, college listed under SDS) then it'll take 45 days. Morever, you can defer to January if study permit is late (if your university/college allows)

If you have not even applied for university/college, then its a rare chance than you'll get an offer letter for September. If you already have an offer letter, then I would suggest you to apply ASAP and if study permit is not issued near the deadline mentioned on your offer letter, you can ask your university/college for deferment.

Wire transfer for GIC and academic fees may take anywhere between 3-5 days. Add 1-2 days for receipts to get generated, which you will need at the time of application submission.

In case you get conditional offer letter, then you may need to send some additional documents to the institution. Add 5 days for such activity.

Technically I don't think you will get visa before your classes starts in Sep 2018. But still apply and keep the TRV, later you can extend it as per your academic terms.

Ask your institution to defer your admissions to Jan 2019.

Your agent or any agent can't get you the visa. It is a decision of a visa officer and no agents have any source with them. As jasz_blr mentioned, its very difficult for you to procure the visa for september. However, you can try and if it is not issued in time, you can defer (later extend while your visa is expiring)

This refers to transit time between vfs and vac (embassy), after you submit your application and after decision is made by visa officer.

Be positive. Applicants have got their visa in less than 45 days. If your file is very strong, you have good chances.
