If Application is returned, can it be revised

Hi All,

I have sent my application on 12-Mar-2014 which was received on 17-Mar-2014.
I see some people who have got their eCAS status for the applications received on 17-Mar-2014.

I don't really recall well, but I think I have not printed my name on the back of the photograph. (although it is stamped with studio address and dated), Which makes me think that my application would most likely be sent back.
Since I filed my application with 1097 physical days (which is a very border case), I was wondering that if it is sent back, can I revise the application and re-date it to the new date say 15-May-2014 and then send it back on 16th-May. I want to do this mainly for 2 reasons...
1) Add more days of physical presence for peace of mind.
2) Add lot more supporting documents such as 4 years of T4/NOA & Letter from Supervisor (Employer), declare day trips made to US and also the address of the Hotel I stayed for 1 night at Niagara Canada, basically for more accuracy on all addresses I have resided in last 4 years and truly for the peace of mind.

To be precise, I want to know if they keep a photocopy/scan of original application and expect us to send back only the original application with missing info/doc (Print name on photograph in my case), or we are free to revise it to make it more accurate/clear.

Can anybody please advise.

Yes. A returned application is a null application and has not been processed at all, just checked for completeness.
You may add anything to your package if you want to.

You have to wait till they accept or return your application and only at that point you can decide whatever you choose to do. Once the application returned which means your application has not been entered int he system for incomplete application.

If they return then you print a new form with new date with new online residence calculation with whatever documents you may wish to add with application..

Luckily, my application has been accepted. My eCAS got updated today.
I now believe that I might have printed my name at the back of photograph, knowing that CIC would not entertain any incomplete application otherwise.
Well, I am on track somehow...
