I have 1.5 years of work experience as a Staff Nurse in India. I have got my NNAS evaluation done and unsuccessfully attempted NCLEX RN one time while I was in India. I want to take my time to attempt it again.
Right now, I am a fresh PR immigrant in here in Edmonton Alberta. I am in the process of exploring to know the options on my table to know what kind of jobs I can do with BSc (Nursing) with 1.5 year Indian work experience. I understand that different job role have different regulatory bodies in Canada and I have to go through them to obtain necessary licensing.
I have found that I can work as Early Childhood educator in daycare (do not know about levels), Health care aid in home and in hospital, patient food servicer etc. Please let me know other job options in healthcare.
I am still struggling to decide where to start from and how. Please let me know other career options and possibly the ways to secure those jobs?. Any kind of info will be appreciated.
I have found that i can work as Service Worker (seems like it is a Nursing Assistant job); it requires only Current Basic Life Support (Level C) as per job description. My question is has anyone secured the job like this and if yes, how did you polish your resume and added relevant Canadian certifications etc. to secure the job ?.
Any advice, knowledge and experience shared here will be much appreciated as it will make pictures clear to me. Please be kind
