Hello can someone please clarify with my IELTS doubt?

My work permit got refused as I have studied in a Private college....If I want to study again in a public college,Do I need to write IELTS again?

Some people are telling me that I don’t need as I have been in Canada.

No, you don't need an IELTS to further study in Canada as you've already done a program in English which vouch for your English language proficiency, all you need to do is include your certificate and your transcript and if possible include your previous IELTS result even if expired
