I have just submitted my application to the visa office in london - 17/08/10, I wrote the Academic - IELTS, the CIO approved my application in April, 2010, will my IELTS be accepted?

Visa offices had always been accepting academic module of IELTS, although their website info says it should be GT.

I think after July changes they have said General only....Ia sure I have read it...

I submitted my application to CIO in march 2010. it was approved april 2010, i took the ielts academic, and submitted everything to london visa office august 2010. i intend to write the general still, however my question is what will happen to my submitted application before the IELTS-GT is submitted?

HI,

Since you fall under old rules your Academic IELTS is fine and you dont need to submit General IELTS, the new rule about this is for those who are applying to CIC after 26th June. And if you submit and visa officer has already opened your file it wont be accepted.

hi to all
today one of my frend came to me and told me that she is going to apply for immigration...actually she has some confusion about her ielts..her ielts is basic at listening and reading, and moderate at writing and speaking..
reading....4.5 band
listening...4.5 band
speaking....5.5 band
writing...5.5 band
she wants to apply as a cook.. she wants to know that is her ielts ok for her noc (cook) bcz her job requirements are not such like that she needs very high english...is her ielts sufficient for her job requirements...moreover, she is trying to get arranged employment ..she will have 72 points
plz all seniors help me in replying
