Hello,

I am going to apply for the permanent residence via Provincial Nominee route. I have Provincial Nominee already. Is anybody confirmed that in Federal, is there requirement of IELTS?. I am an Engineer and I am lying in the category of Matrix "A". I have read the check list of Federal immigration, they have clear mentioned that IELTS is mandatory for people in Skill Matrix C & D.

I am working in Canada and did my masters here too and working for the process industry.

IELTS gives you points for your Express Entry score, but with the 600 points for PNP you don't need those points. As for what is required for the nomination, that is up to the province, and from your letter it seems you have passed that point and been nominated already. So, as far as I know, you are fine to make your EE profile without taking IELTS.

thanks Dobe. but I am not applying via Express entry. I am applying via normal old Immigration stream because my province is not cope with express entry yet.

maybe PNP forum can help you better

I believe you can't create EE profile without entering language test score, as it's a requirement in all EE programs.
