If you were born/raised/educated/worked in an English speaking country (Scotland) then you don't need the IELTS.canadaUK said:I am from scotland. Do I have to take the test.

Do you know anyone who has gotten in with academic IELTS or are you basing it on the fact that it is of higher standard.relycanada said:Yes Academic is acceptable.Academics assessment is higher than general.
But it is accepted.
rely
You mean that CIC's instructions are wrong and that everyone should rely on Rely?rupeshhari said:Thank you Rely. I think many people have been told incorrectly that their academic IELTS will not be accepted. This is very helpful.
If you already have test, you can submit with your application, you either need originals or notarized copy of the test with the application. It is better to submit the test with the application as it expires for CIC in one year, and if you submit within one year of test with your application, it wont expire as long as the test is with them and taken within past year, but if you sit on it, your test may get expired by the time they will ask you.black haired guy said:When applying do i need to include the original or a photocopy of the results would suffice?

It seems really that my subject is complicated as you know I got the file no 1 Nov 2005
And I submitted the IELTS by fax on 18 Dec by mail 22 Dec
As per the old rules the required score is 7 7 5 5
I got L 6.5 R 7 W 5 S 7.5 = 12 point
As per the new rules I will get = 11 point only
So I am really disappointed and worry if they applied the new rules on my case I will be rejected
thanks and i need your help ASAP
