IELTS VALIDITY

I got admitted to a DLI institution in Canada for May 2023 intake.
I'm going to submit the visa probably by dec 2022
But my IELTS score will expire on Jan 2023.
Can I go ahead with the old score..or do I need to retake the exam before submitting the visa application.
