OK, once again, I'll do you and the others the favor of quoting it.
I am assuming that you did not read the OP6e.PDF.
Sections 10.4 to 10.10—Language:
• relevant sections have been updated to reflect RIM messages 04-002 and 04-016 sent to visa
offices earlier this year regarding clarifications on "Language Proficiency Guidelines."
Section 10.6—Approved testing organizations:
• test results must not be older than one year on the date of application;
• test results from a testing organization that has not been designated by the Department are
not "conclusive evidence" of language ability and may only be considered as part of an overall
written submission.
So i came a conclusion that as my ielts was valid at the time of app to CIO ,it will not require to retake when i send full docs,,,,,although 1 yr validity already expired.
Did you took exam again or old results were used successfully?
Pls confirm i am also in same situation!! My IELTS exam was cleared in Sept 2009, applied to CIO in May 2010 and now got reply from CIO in Oct 2010 to apply to VO with supporting documents.
