IELTS scores

Hi guys,

How many original copies of IELTS results should we prepare? I am applying under CEC/EE and currently only has one original copy of the test results (took it in April 2014). Do we need to have two copies, one for CEC, one for EE, in original signed copy? If so, how can I get a second, original one? and how long does it take and how much? (I am in Toronto). Thank you for your help!

You will need to contact your ielts center for another copy, tell them you need it for another immigration stream. There will be $25.00 for each additional copy.

So guys, I wanted to enter CLB 9 from CLB 8, I had written CELPIP from within Canada and my points for First Official Language Proficiency is 113.
I heard from immigration consultants that you get another 100 points extra if you could score CLB 9 or 10 so I gave IELTS again from India and I just received my points
L 8.5
R 7.5
W 6.5
S 8.5
My grades are all fine except for Writing as I missed CLB 9 by 1 band. Does anybody know what my new points could look like? I updated mycic but dint see any changes yet.

Your total points will be 115 now ...but its still not CLB 9.

Yes we can score extra points for CLB 9 but that's 50 points not 100 i guess.

Hi,

The overall points on IELTS depend on your education and experience as well. If you have CBL9 the factors education+IELTS and experience+IELTS give you more points but this cannot be calculated without knowing what they are

You cannot score +100 points but 60-70 is possible depending on your other cionditions.

The results you are giving solely for the IELTS give you 115 points. You won't get additional points because you need CBL 9 for all 4 modules.

This is very strange result. Usually most people score higher on reading and listening and lower at writing and speaking. I can see your speaking is high and reading is less ... Based on those results I think you can score higher and should just train a little writing and knock this damn IELTS down
