Hi everyone,
I have IELTS score= overall 6.5. ( r = 7, l= 7.5, s= 5.5, w= 5.5)
Can I apply in express entry (FSW)?

No - you can't. You need to score a minimum of 6 in each of the four categories. You need to write IELTS again and get a better score before you will be able to apply for Express Entry.

Dear All,

Need your help & Suggestion.

I had started my profile in Aug 2015, with initial score of 381, till today, after 3 revisions, My score has reached 398, as of end Nov (i.e. when the last update was done), as I was desperately trying to go over 400, to get a province nomination. Here's the summary:

Original Score 381, added wife IELTS got additional 12, lost 5 due to Self birthday age revision, added 10 with wife ECA report from WES. Total today 398.

Now I want your suggestion, that should I reappear in IELTS or should my wife reappear in IELTS to increase the score or wait for a response? And HOW MUCH INCREASE Can I get thru reappear in IELTS

Principal applicant score: Self: Got 105 in Express entry Language Proficiency. IELTS Score S: 7.5, R: 7, L: 7.5, W: 6.5
Spouse score: Got 12 in Express entry Language Proficiency. IELTS Score S: 7.5, R: 6.5, L: 5.5, W: 6

Please suggest, as its been 1 year+ I'm trying, first already missed deadline in FSWP in 2014, and got refusal due to criteria got filled. Not since Aug i.e. 5 months, waiting for a response.

you need to get S: 7, R: 7, L: 8, W: 7 in IELTS to get CLB 9 which will increase your work experience by 25 and education score by 25. So a total of 50 points and some point in language as well .

I am assuming you have a post secondary degree and 2 years of experience.

Basically, I need to work on my L & W, as my score was S: 7.5, R: 7, L: 7.5, W: 6.5.

I have Post grad degree, correct, thats why got 126 in level of education, however I have experience of 7 years.. not sure why my score in less in that regard. I don't understand, how can IELTS increase my score in education & work-ex? I thought it increases only in Human Capital - First Official Language Proficiency. Please suggest!

IELTS Score S: 7.5, R: 7, L: 7.5, W: 6.5
to go above 400 u need to increase .5 in any of the modules, 3 additional marks will be added. to get 50 more points try to reach S 7, R 7, L 8, W 7

Ielts can increase your international work ex and education because there are 2 sections more that get affected by the language test:

education + language factor - score is increased if CLB is 9 instead of 7.
int work ex + language - score is increased if CLB is 9 instead of 7.

Hey,

My original score was 368 but I retook IELTS and my new score is 431, no PT yet .

I got L:8.5 , S: 8, W: 7.5, R:7

I have one important tip for writing : Start with Task 2 before Task 1 since task s carries (2/3) of the total mark.

I have one important tip for Listening: Just read the questions that related to the current audio section. means you have to prepare yourself mentally an know what are the things needed to answer the current set of questions (Name, address, cost, place and so on).

I have a query , me and wife both appeared for the ielts test on 5-dec and are awaiting our score on 18-dec. Now my wife will be the main applicant and myself co-applicant , what will happen in the scenario if my wife score above 7 in every module and I for example cant score above 6 in one module say speaking in that case will we be able to create EE profile or just because i didnt score above 6 in one module ill have to take the test one more time and then create the profile. Or based on my wife score which is for example above 7 in all module we can create the EE profile?

Applicant score is more important than the co-applicant.I belive for coapplicant in the range of 5 is ok.but your overall scores will come fown if you score less in ielts.I would duggest to wait for the results and then look for the options,as wothout results you will have sleepless nights. All the best on your results.

Thanks for your reply , yes everything depends on my wifes score but could you please clarify in the case the co-aplicant fails to score above 6 in one module can they create EE profile or both applicants need above 6 in every module?

Thanks for the suggestion!! But you have 431 sore??!! WOW.. Shocking that you don't have ITA yet.. Did you try via a state immigration sponsorship?

What is so "shocking" about it - The minimum score till date is 450.

Provincial Nomination is the way to go .
