Hello Everyone,

My IELTS Scores are:

Listening: 8
Reading: 6.5
Writing: 6.5
Speaking: 6.5

I should've score better but I was nervous (Silly me) I have spent almost 7 years abroad and I am just worried that the VO may think that my English proficiency is not good enough. I am applying for NOC 0 category. Do you guys think that I should take the IELTS exam again or since requirement is met is it good enough?

Seniors Please help!!

Thanks in advance :)

Your answer can be found on the site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/language-testing.asp

Can you guys stop posting IELTS questions in the CEC section? There's an entire section dedicated to IELTS: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/ielts-international-english-language-testing-system-b53.0/

And please visit the CIC website once in a while. It's supposed to be more reliable than us.

Did my post bother you? why on earth would you think that I don't visit CIC websites? I know all the requirements and visit the sites daily....You got to read the question and answer if you know...otherwise please don't make any stupid comments...I find you very rude...what do you mean by ''you guys stop posting''?

If the requirements were met why would you plan on taking again? CEC is based on Canadian Experience and not on who gets the highest score in English Exams.

@Big_Boy,

Your posts do not bother me. But it does bother me to see too many questions on IELTS in the CEC section, while the requirments are explained clearly in the CIC website. CEC is based on a pass/fail system. Once you meet the requirements, there's nothing to worry about.

The minimum requirement is scoring a "6" in all four sections - if you've done that, your scores are eligible
