HI I HAVE WRITTEN MY IELTS AND GOT THE OVERALL SCORE OF 6.5

LISTENING-8.0
SPEAKING-6.5
READING-6.0
WRITING-6.0

CAN ANY ONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW MANY POINTS DO I GET FOR THE ABOVE SCORES. THE BASIC IS CLB 7 WHICH IS 16 POINTS. WITH THE ABOVE SCORE DO I GET 18 POINTS????????? PLEASE HELP ME TO CALCULATE.

1) Listening 6.5
2) Reading 6
3) Writing 6.5
4) Speaking 6.5

Plz tell me how to interpret this score to our overall eligibility. Plz also give evidence of how u arrived at this score

18 points - used the official guide from CIC http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp

Listening 6.5 = 4 points because only a "7.5" could receive a 5, anything between 6 and 7.5 would get 4 points
Reading 6 = 4 points
Writing 6.5 = 5 points
Speaking 6.5 = 5 points
= Total of 18

Thanks for the details. I wanted to ask (1) how soon are the categories filled for the FSWP 2014. the program started on May 1st and there is a cap of 1000 per occupation. The next available dates are in the month of July. Should I repeat IELTS....what if the cap is reached. (2) Is there a way of finding the Cap has been reached.

Why do you need to repeat ielts? when does it expire?

the selection mark is 67:

education marks: 21
Experience marks: 15
Age: 12
Ielts: 18
This is 66 and not 67. Just gave IELTS 2weeks back. WHat should I do. should I repeat IELTS but what if cap is reached for 2132 in which we r applying

ok - then you have no choice. you better retake it unless you want your application to be rejected.

L 7.0 = 4 points
R 7.0 = 6 points
W 6.5 = 5 points
S 6.0 = 4 points

Total = 19 points

i believe so. I have computed it as 19 as well. Anyway, i have already submitted my docs. How many days would it take if courier was sent from toronto to CIO N.Scotia? My dox were actually sent yesterday morning (Toronto time).
