Ielts result

Hi to all

Last year I applied under NOC 1122 in November 2010 but could not make to cap.Moreover I could not received back my application along with original Ielts result and original BD till now.On inquiry to cio, I was told that once it is sent back through postal courier service cio will no longer be responsible for that.As I lost my original Ielts result and for immigration I need original one.British council's policy is that it do not issue duplicate TRF directly to candidate instead that will be sent directly to cio.

Please anyone tell me can cio will accept my application in this manner as I have attached with my application a photocopy of Ielts result, an acknowledgment receipt and tracking number of FedEx given by British council for the dispatch of extra TRF to cio.

I think the problem you may have is that the person performing the completeness check is unlikely to be a full immigration officer, and therefore will be working to strict checklists without discretion.

From their point of view, you won't have included the IELTS score. They also don't really have much scope for matching up documents with applications which are sent separately.

You can try, but IMO you may be better hounding British Council that you need the copy sent to yourself. If the British Council still won't play ball, ask them if your IELTS result are kept on a computer in the UK. If they are, inform them that under the Data Protection Act THEY MUST send you any information they hold about you on their computer systems, and that includes IELTS test results.

If they fail to do this, they are in breach of the Data Protection Act.

Depends how far you want to take it, I guess. I am not a lawyer so you may wish to seek proper legal advice before going down this road. But I can't see any harm in mentioning it!

The cap for NOC 1122 is likely to take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks to completely fill, so it may already be too late. Certainly you probably won't have time to sit another test.

So I'd try to squeeze British Council for a copy test certificate, and if that doesn't work then go with your original plan of getting them to send it to CIO and include a covering letter with your application saying that IELTS results are being sent to them directly.

Whether they will be able, or willing, to match these documents and accept them is another matter.

Last year i applied in noc 0631 but my application failed to pass completeness check and was sent back by CIO. i didn't submited my Brth certificate with my initial application but after sending my application i read on tis forum that BC is mandatory and application are being returned on these basis so i immediately prepared another set off application and faced similar problem "How to get additional TRF" i contacted AEO(pakistan), got same reply we cannot issue another one to u but can mail it on ur behalf, it was also not an option so after some persuasion they agreed to issue another one on one condition that they will seal it in their envelop, then place it in my set of documents and mail it to CIO themselves.

Unfortunately my second application also got returned ;D ;D, now i have two TRF's

I think that this IELTS rule is absolutely stupid. Like Cappuccino has mentioned, you should consult a lawyer if they refuse. This is exploitation on the part of IELTS organization and seems like a money making scam.
I am surprised that how they have been allowed to get away with this till now and why havent they been taken to court. BUT I guess most of the candidates are just trying to get along and dont have means to follow such a procedure.

Try to send an email directly to IELTS organization and ask them for your IELTS test results.

if u have notorized copy send it alongwith full application detailing in the letter entire story and also request british council to issue it directly to CIO

I have just called the British council and they informed me
That I can have an sealed envelop and just send it to CIO
I have to pick it up by myself.

Yes they accepted my IELTS result. But remember it was in a sealed envelope and was placed in my whole package. It was not delivered separately.

Yes guys! It's very important to request the sealed envelope and to add it to the whole package. Do not send it separate, because the application will be incomplete!!! Even if you send an affidavit .
That's what I've been told.
