Ielts requirements towards citizenship

Good evening All,

I have done a 2 yrs diploma in business administration program at Memorial university of Newfoundland in 2012.Do i need to get my ielts exam done to apply for the Canadian Citizenship?

I will be eligible to apply for the Canadian Citizen in Autum 2017 under the new rules.
