IELTS requirement for PNP's

Hi! I am working as an Assistant to Producer for a Film and Video Production company. I have been nominated under PNP and I arrived in Canada before 2012. Do I still need to give an IELTS exam ?

I just checked if I qualify for a test and this is what my province says

Temporary Foreign Worker Exemption

Temporary foreign workers (including international student graduates on a temporary work permit) who arrived in CANADA on or before July 1, 2012 and who are nominated under the NLPNP before July 1, 2013 are exempt from CIC’s new language requirement.

Anyone wants to add their personal experience about this one. I do not want to take any chances so just need to confirm the facts.

After getting nomination how long it took u to get work permit from your country
Plz do reply and according to me you don't need any ielts under pnp

Hi! I got the nomination under the Intl Student category a few months back and the work permit in here in Canada itself in 2011 June. Let me know what you think...
