Hello friends,

I'm in preparation to apply for PR under CEC but I'm stuck with the following two questions-

- I have already completed 17 months and I'm here for 12 more months. Can I apply for PR (under CEC) before completing 24 months when I know that I'll be here for 24+ months? Intention is just to avoid the time an application takes to reach the desk.

- Does my wife (dependant) also need to appear for IELTS? Or is it only the principal applicant (I in this case) who needs to?

I appreciate your guidance.

Thanks,
Rana

1. No, you must complete the 2 year first.
2. No, only the principal applicant.

Hi

The only person who has to take the IELTS is the principal applicant and not the applicant's spouse or kids, correct? According to the application guide and checklist, it appears that only the principal applicant needs to take the IELTS and no one else. I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks for the help.
