IELTS General/Academic

Hello,

I plan to try to immigrate (not only to Canada) by trying to find a job abroad. If I fail to do this, I plan to do a post-grad course in Canada and, afterwards, try to get a job (in person) and immigrate.

I keep reading that i need IELTS General for immigration, but IELTS Academic for studying. So, in my case, will i have to do both? That does sound a bit unnecessary for me...

Yes, you'll need both.
