Hi guys,
My friend, who is a native English speaker, is interested in applying for PR. She's extremely well educated and is making a lot of $$. The problem is that she is hearing impaired, and might not perform well in the IELTS listening test. Her daily communication is okay, thanks to the fact that she can lip read the person she talks to, but there is no "reader" in IELTS...
My question is, whether or not there is a way for her to opt out of the listening test? Will CIC accept medical proof of hearing disability and provide exemption for the listening test?
Thank you.
