Dear all,

I already got AOR from NS and they ask me to submit Docs in 120 Days.

When i Applied i sent them copy of my IELTS which was already older then 1 year Containing 6 Bands which makes 9 Points. Still i got reply accordingly.

Though, i knew they ask only for result which is not older then 1 year, but i still send them copy because if i wouldn't check on form that i have already taken IELTS, they might say why i didn't mention if i was already holding it.

Now, confusion is that if i retake IELTS, will they consider the latest one or Local office might reject it coz i previously sent them one year older IELTS.

Hope question is clear.

Regards,

Jawad Ahmad..

jawadahmad77,

You can submit the new IELTS scores. The old one was invalid, anyway. Besides, NS only checks whether you belong to the 38-job list, IELTS is not something they look into there. So, you don't need to worry.

Thanks.

I was just confuse they might mix up things. So, should i refine my Application as per new IELTS?

One more question, can we use photocopies of same application we sent to NS and sent to local office? or we need to Re-Date and sent new application containing same application?

Regards,

Jawad Ahmad

I've read comments from applicants who did both. What I did was, I enclosed the photocopy of their letter and the fee receipt, but filled in new forms for everything else, because there were some changes to the old forms.

The guid says no updated forms just in the matter of the date.
Only if u have to update any other information.
Just send the copies (that's what they say- make a copy!) of the application you send to NS before.

I have a query relating to assessment done at Nova Scotia.I have called some 5-6 Immigration consultants and inquired about the real meaning of the AOR we recieve from Nova Scotia. All of them told the same thing that the new AOR under new legsilation means that you are being positively assessed, you are able to attain the required ponts(i.e 67) and your job is in list of 38 occupations. These are the three things which are associated with New AOR.I have read some post where a guy was sking "What exactly AOR means? I think AOR doesnt just simply mean that you are in the list of 38 Occupations but there are other things which has been done at Nova Scotia before they send you AOR.Lastly when I asked consultants about the role of CHC Islamabad or any other Local Visa Office ,they told me that they are only here for Verification of your Documents and do the Security/Background Checks.People at CHC,Islamabad or any other Local Visa Office dont again re-assess your Application in terms of Points.
Whats the opinion of seniors on this issue?
Pls comment............................

They, mostly certain, will again proove if you reach the 67 scor.
At NS office they just check of u, with the right documents, can reach the points and if u can apply for the regular application stream. There are still more possibilities than just to have one of the 38 occupations.
With the new application u do not need to send all supporting documents right away.
It's just a pre-scann.
Someone has to proove if you really fullfill the this pre-approval conditions and if you are able to provide valid documents for the matter u apply for.

You might be right but my question is what people at Nova Scotia are doing,Are they only kept at Nova Scotia just to see whether you are in list of 38 Occupations,it really doesnt make any sense, when you read their letter i.e New AOR,it clearly states that "You are being recommended for Further Processing".It is hard to understand that why people at local visa office would be doing any Re-assessment and in the end declaring you ineligible or eligible. What is the realy role of Nova Scotia then? Also you can yourslef see in some post of this forum that some people were denied from Nova Scotia because they were falling short of 67 Points.Tomorrow I will also try to cotact Lalanai and Sun to inquire about AOR.I strongly feel that people sitting at lalani and Sun are nothing just some piece of crap.I have been to both places and both of them didnt have any idea about some of the very important things about new legislation.People at Sun were telling me that if you want to get maximum points for English Language, you must have an overall band of 8.0 with 8 and mreo than 8 individual category. What you call that!
Since this(New AOR) is still a very new piece of legislation rather I can bet on that only few people can tell what this New AOR really means. This new AOR is still very much debatable.I really wanna hear some expert opinion from sneior members of this forum.

If u read the guide u will find most of ur questions answered...
It's just a pre-approval!!!
Logic tells me that they want to get a rid ofthe permanent overflow of files on their desks.
It also shortens the application and process times and give most applicant a better ideas if they would approve in the first place.
You do not submit all your supporting documents for NS, u submit them if u are approved. Then u have to show that u really (!) reach the 67 points and fullfill the permisses of the FSW application. They are still able to reject the visa.
And u cannot just apply for that stream if u are in the 38 list!!!! There are other options to apply under that stream.

Today I have called some of the well-reputed consultant of Pakistan based in Karachi like Lalani,Sun & Amir Ismail whos also a certified Immigration consultant. Both Lalani and Amir Ismail told me that New AOR means that your Assessment has been done and that Islamabad Office will only verify the documents, they wont be doing any re-assessment of your case.Once your documents are verified you will be immediately sent Medicals.People at Sun didnt have a clue abt New AOR,thats absolutely true.
