urgent question pls 1. I like to apply under Chemical Engineer NOC 2134Below is my IELT RESULT: Speaking 7.5 ,Reading 6.0 , Writing 7.5, Listening 5.5 , Overall band score : 6.5My wifes result:Speaking 7.0, Reading 6.0, Writing 7.5, Listening 6.0, Overall band score: 6.5The reason for my low score in listening is because of the poor audio system used on the 12th oct. 2013 . And I was sitted at the extreme end, the hall was not properly perforated resulting in ecohs, verbal complains were made.Pls can I go ahead with my application as time is running out, I like to know if my application can be accept on discretionary basis as all my education to master level were done in english, and I was taught by some British teachers in secoundary school, my maths and integrated science teachers were British. Pls will this be acceptable? For the application and if yes what point will this equal to under languageThanks

There is no discretion granted. Your score is too low and guarantees a refusal if you apply. You must score 6 or higher in all four categories or your application will be refused. You need to take the IELTS test again if you wish to apply and not be refused.

Agreed with Scylla. CIC is not very sympathetic towards any conditions you may have had when you were taking the test. They strictly judge by what number they see and you will have to increase your score to avoid a automatic refusal.
