Hi everyone, posting a question for a good friend of mine I’m helping to stay longer in Canada.
He currently just came back to Canada on a tourist visa and already started the application for young professionals from outside Canada while away for few months.
He had ita and sent all the required documents.
What’s the waiting time at the moment to get approved? He’s already been asked some additional informations which is a good sign I believe. And will he need to flagpole to get his work permit?

Thanks anyone for the help.

IEC processing time is generally quoted on IRCC as 8 weeks. To activate will need to flagpole, be prepared to show funds of 2500 cdn and full travel insurance for the duration of the permit.

Thanks for quick reply. That confirms what I was thinking then but my friend is quite stubborn and didn’t believe me!
Also he already plans to go to Germany in June for 2 weeks and has the flight booked already, does that change anything for him assuming that he get is visa approved before he leaves ?

Thanks again
